Third Planet Exploration Services are currently supporting Nevada Exploration Inc. on their South Grass Valley project, which is located only 50km from Barrick Gold Corporation’s famous world class Cortez complex. Simon provides expertise which extends over 25 years working on Carlin type Au deposits in Nevada, including multi-element geochemical modelling and exploration through cover at Pipeline, Turquoise Ridge, Goldstrike, Cortez Hills and Goldrush. Our work applies workflows developed in-house to help refine geological models by identifying specific chemostratigraphic units favourable to mineralising fluid flow and ore formation.
We are also currently working for four more clients on other US projects in Nevada (Au, Ag), Idaho (Au, Co), South Dakota (REE) as well as in Mexico (Ag), Yukon (Zn), Finland (Co) and Saudi Arabia (Cu). These vary in target type and exploration stage and some projects are in production. Services provided across these projects include a comprehensive evaluation of surface and drill hole geochemical datasets beyond commonly practised univariate anomaly detection. Geometallurgical proxies are being developed to assist mine scheduling, along with specialist advice on evaluating, prioritising, budgeting and executing district-scale exploration programmes.
