Recently, Simon Griffiths of Third Planet Exploration Services (3PXS) delivered a technical presentation in Spanish to the Aminer group (an influential platform supporting the advancement of mining and mineral exploration in Spain).
Simon showcased how integrated geochemical and geo-metallurgical modelling can significantly enhance exploration targeting and project evaluation. His talk included:
- A case study on using redox-sensitive trace elements to interpret marine sediment facies, improving logging and revealing lithological controls on mineralisation.
- Insights into pyrite chemistry and sulphide species; distinguishing hydrothermal from diagenetic pyrite and understanding sulphur deportment into minerals such as sulfosalts — critical factors in mine processing and production.
