Society of Economic Geologists Conference 2025

It’s been one month since Third Planet Exploration participated in the Society of Economic Geologists Conference 2025 in Brisbane, Australia.

We were proud to showcase our latest technical innovations and geochemistry workflows to a global audience, and to engage in fruitful discussions with fellow geoscientists, students, and industry professionals.

The poster we presented developed ideas that we presented last year in Adelaide at the IAGS conference, with a focused study from Harry, Simon and Aidan on chemo-stratigraphy and pyrite chemistry at Teena, a CRD-Type deposit in Queensland, Australia. Aidan delivered a talk that explored the implementation of new technologies in mineral exploration, showing how automated multi-element and low-level gold pXRF data collected on-site can be leveraged to further ore body knowledge and improve confidence in decision making throughout an exploration program.

Throughout the event, our team attended a diverse range of talks and sessions, gaining fresh perspectives on emerging technologies and the evolving models of world-class ore deposits. Just as valuable was the chance to reconnect with our network — catching up with familiar faces and forging new connections.

A huge thank you to the SEG organisers and everyone who contributed to making the conference such a success. The quality and breadth of content were outstanding, and we left inspired and full of ideas to bring back to our projects.

For those who couldn’t attend, get in touch if you want to discuss any of the work we displayed at the forum or want to hear more about what we do at 3PXS — we’re keen to keep the technical conversation going beyond the event.

If you’d like any more information on any of our services, or assistance with enhancing the impact of your geochemical data, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
