Exploration Geochemist

About Aidan

Aidan Kitchener is an exploration geologist / geochemist that during university and early-career has worked on green-fields UK mineral exploration projects targeting Au, Ag, Pb and Zn. This experience includes developing a best-practice stream sediment sampling and GIS-based targeting campaign in the Dolgellau Gold Belt, North Wales, UK during his M.Sc. at Camborne School of Mines. After graduating in 2021, Aidan developed technical skills during an exploration program in Scotland, UK. This included mapping and ground truthing potential exploration targets, drill program logistic management, downhole surveying, core logging and sample selection. Following this, he has worked on geochemical datasets from Europe, North America, and Africa. Furthering the understanding of lithological changes, alteration envelopes, and mineralisation signatures. These projects range from early green-fields surface sampling through to operating mines.
