Harry Brookes

Exploration Geochemist

About Harry

Harry Brookes is an early career exploration geologist/geochemist who has worked on projects across the Arabian Nubian shield, Burkina Faso and the UK from regional green-fields projects to near mine exploration.  This experience includes planning, executing and managing of green-fields, regional and licence scale sampling campaigns in Sudan, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia as a project geologist.

Setting up and managing of an in-field laboratory and ultimately, assisting with the direction and streamlining of exploration strategy for Volcanogenic massive sulphide, orogenic gold and porphyry copper. Previously, Harry managed the field-operations of an early-stage exploration project from target delineation to initial drilling for Ag, Au, Pb and Zn in Scotland, UK. During his M.Sci. at Imperial College London (RSM) Harry developed an alteration model and vectors towards ore zones using spectral variations in white mica chemistry in the Perkoa VMS mine to help guide the team during near mine exploration through vast quartz-sericite-pyrite alteration envelopes.

Finally, he has worked on geochemical datasets from Africa, Europe, North and South America, enhancing and developing his mineral systems knowledge and understanding of geological variables.
